Yousuf loves snow, he talks about it all the time, I’m guessing it’s probably because Olaf makes it look so appealing. But since we live in the Middle East, there’s no chance at all of it falling from the sky any time soon and there’s only so many times we can go to Ski Dubai. So I decided to try and make our own, and it resulted in cold white snow!
*Have a child that puts everything in their mouth! Not to worry, an edible recipe can be found below!
The best recipe so far, I used:
- 1 cup of Baking soda
- 1/4 cup of conditioner
- (IF you want to make more, just keep making 1 cups worth, and when mixed add it to the ready done mix)
Mix well, the baking powder will expand, and on the first touch, its the perfect texture and the best part its cold to touch too. It’s easily mouldable which is another great point, and we were able to make snowmen and whatever else Yousuf wanted!
This mixture can be stored in an air tight container, and will last for as long as your little one will let it!
Please note and be aware that this recipe is not edible so please supervise children whilst playing.
Edible snow dough
It’s pretty simple to do too. For this recipe I used:
- 2 cups of Corn Flour
- 1/2 cup of oil.
Mix well and let your little one play away, the dough should be easily to crumble but then at the same time easy to mould too, if it seems dry add a tiny bit of oil at a time, and if its too wet then add a little corn flour!
