This is really simple and easy to set up, and to get the kids excited about. All you need is:
- Paper or card (we used a3 white paper)
- Masking tape
- Paint (I used Ikea paint)
Paint brushes and sponges (Sponges worked a lot better with this)
With the masking tape simply stick down on the paper your desired shape, letter or whatever you can think of. Then its time to paint, we used the sponges more to dab paint on, make sure the whole paper including the masking tape has been painted over and then leave to dry.
Once dried, peel off a small part of the masking tape, then ask your little one to help. He will be thrilled to see a shape or letter develop under all that mess he created!
So simple and easy and an excellent opportunity to talk about colours, letters and shapes.
