I lived in Dubai for 4 years before moving to Doha, and even after moving I’ve made countless trips back! I’ve come to know Dubai and the surrounding areas pretty well!
So this is my very quick combined list of places I recommend as families (most are adult friendly too!)

|Dubai Mall||Sega world – Indoor theme park for all the family features 15 thrilling attractions and more than 170 games, from cutting-edge motion simulators and virtual experiences to one of the region’s largest assortment of skill and redemption games.||KidZania – provides children and their parents a safe, unique and very realistic educational environment that allows kids between the ages of four to sixteen to do what comes naturally to them; role-playing by mimicking activities and real jobs, done by adults in real life.||Caboodle– Caboodle is a multi-faceted space dedicated to offering a fun, educational, and stimulating environment for the family as a whole in the fields of pampering and playing. Zones include, Play, salon and a cafe.|
|Dubai Mall||The Aquarium – One of the largest suspended aquarium in the world, here are numerous ways for visitors to experience the main Aquarium tank including an underwater zoo||Ice Rink – Located in the centre of the mall, for both young and old and with an array of cafes on location.||The Village *area in Dubai Mall*, the musical lights will keep your toddler entertained.|
|Dubai Mall||The Dubai Fountains – Located on the Burj lake on LG of Dubai mall are the tallest fountains in the world! You can even buy tickets (be sure to buy in advance) to take a boat ride along the fountains and get up close!||Burj Khalifa at the top– Be sure to book well in advance tickets for the viewing deck on the 125th or 148th floor for the tallest tower in the world. The best time to go is just before sunset!||Le Petit palais – Located in Galeries Lafayette, is a lovely indoor play area which looks like a mini town, more for younger kids, it’s a lovely spot to visit.|
|Dubai Mall||Reel Cinemas – One of the largest cinemas in the UAE, the nachos are yum, the popcorn to die for and the food is lovely.||GOAL! offer a football themed arena with FIFA certified turf where 5 to 15 year olds can experience the next best thing to participating in a real professional football match during 10 or 15-minute matches.|
|Mall of the Emirates||Ski Dubai– enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, or just playing in the snow. Plus you can now meet and play with Ski Dubai’s newest residents; the Snow Penguins! (from 3 years and up)||Vox Cinemas – is the cinema located in the mall with various types of screens and is the first and the only cinema concept in the region dedicated for kids. The little ones can watch the latest animation, action and adventure films in our colourful themed KIDS cinemas||Magic Planet– With lots of rides, game and attractions Magic Planet is the perfect place to spend a fun-filled day the entire family will enjoy!|
|Mall of the Emirates||Bowling – Located just next to Magic Planet.|
|JBR||Splash pad – a defined outdoor wet play area where toddlers and children of ages 1-12yrs can frolic around in a safe and controlled environment, right on The Beach.||Beach – from entertainment to shopping, from fine dining to weekly markets, to an actual beach, this is a perfect way to spend an entire day!||Water Park –
Swim over from the shore and enjoy everything from waterslides, trampolines, jumping cushions and climbing walls, right on the water. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, the Water Park is for absolutely everyone!
One of the best cinemas in the Middle East, the nachos are yum, the popcorn to die for and the food is lovely.

Creek Tours Dubai takes you along the water on traditional dhows||Animal sanctuary/petting Farm Nearly all the animals at the sanctuary are donated, unwanted or rescued animals. They are a non-profit organisation run by a team of volunteers. Children can feed, touch or hold various animals whilst learning some fun facts about each one and how to care for the animals correctly.||Dubai Canal
The newly Opened Dubai Canal runs through the city, Check out the waterfall which starts at 8pm and ends at 10pm.

You can pack a picnic, stop by after a leisurely ride around Al Qudra Cycling Track, or even plan an overnight camping adventure. It’s a great way to see Dubai’s beautiful desert sunset with a waterfront view and the chance to spot some local wildlife.

|Al Ain||Al Ain Zoo – Al Ain Zoo is a true family destination, providing entertainment and learning experiences in a natural outdoor environment.||Jabal Hafeet – If you make it to Al Ain, a lovely place to capture a sun set is Jabal Hafeet, it’s one of the tallest mountains in the UAE, and theres a road spiralling all the way to the top for visitors, along with a couple of hotels.|

|Abu Dhabi||Sheikh Zayed Mosque Not to far from Dubai is this stunning mosque. Open to both Muslim and non – muslims, it is defo one of the landmarks to visit.||Emirates Park Zoo If travelling to Al Ain zoo, is not going to happen then visit Emirates park zoo has many animals but in a slightly smaller setting, the interactive nature of being able to feed animals such as elephants, giraffes is a unique experience.||Yas Waterworld this is the largest waterpark in the capital. Spread over 15 hectares, the waterpark feautures a thrilling range of 45 rides, slides and attractions.Plus four rides that are one-of-a-kind that have never been seen in a waterpark|
|Abu Dhabi||Yas Island
The island has a lot going on, apart from the Gran prix race track and Yas hotel the island also has go karting and ferrari world which has the fastest roller coaster in the world!
